Florida health care system Lee Health is opening a 75-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) in Fort Myers, Fla.

All of the forthcoming SNF’s rooms will be private and have bathrooms equipped with showers, reports the News-Press. The SNF is expected to open in the beginning of 2019.

NMS Healthcare SNF Could Reopen in Maryland

A shuttered NMS Healthcare SNF in Hagerstown, Md., could reopen its doors in the future—although no plans have been set in motion, the facility’s owner cautioned.

The 206 facility, which closed earlier this year, is currently being used by a partner company, Heritage Care, for outpatient treatment, according to Herald-Mail media, a local news site.

Minnesota Hospital and Care Center Nears Completion

A hospital and care center is wrapping up a $24.5 million expansion and remodeling project.

Roughly two-thirds of the work is complete for the Northshore Health hospital and care center in in Grand Marais, Minn., reports business news publication Business North. The project included expanding the center’s skilled nursing wing into a 37-room facility with private living and bathroom spaces for residents.

Construction crews are expected to complete the project by the end of the year.
