While rate caps expansion is a positive for full-time hiring in SNFs, it also brings new challenges in recruiting and retention. Because when staff members aren't choosing their place of employment by wages alone, the deciding factor will be elsewhere: workplace culture. 

As more states implement rate caps in 2024, SNFs will have to be more intentional with their full-time staff. Culture will be central.
