Massachusetts Nursing Home Gets $9.75M Loan, 5 North Carolina Facilities $36.2M Through Capital Funding Group

Capital Funding Group (CFG) has successfully closed a $9.75 million Bridge-to-HUD loan to refinance a 123-bed skilled nursing facility in Massachusetts. The transaction was completed on May 1, 2024, for a nationally recognized borrower.

This loan follows CFG’s recent closure of a $36.2 million Bridge-to-HUD loan for the refinancing of five skilled nursing facilities in North Carolina, totaling 522 beds. This previous deal, closed on April 10, 2024, also involved a nationally recognized borrower.

SLR Healthcare ABL has announced the provision of a $3 million asset-based revolving credit facility to a skilled nursing operator in the upper Midwest. The operator, with a management team boasting 40 years of combined experience in long-term care, recently assumed control of three skilled nursing facilities in Iowa, encompassing a total of 230 beds.

The funds will be used to provide working capital for growth initiatives, including the development of a memory care unit and the expansion of a behavioral health unit. This financing aims to support the operator’s efforts to enhance and expand their care offerings.

Capitol Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center has expanded its in-facility offerings by introducing two specialized healthcare programs: Cardiac Care and Chronic Illness Support. These new services are made possible through partnerships with leading local healthcare providers.

Capitol Rehab, a 138-bed skilled nursing facility, is now offering a comprehensive Cardiac Care program overseen by board-certified cardiologist Dr. Rajesh Davé. Additionally, it has launched Chronic Illness Support services in collaboration with Hospice of Central PA.

The Cardiac Care program at Capitol is designed to improve the quality of life for patients with heart conditions. It focuses on reducing symptoms, minimizing disability, and promoting independence. The program caters to patients recovering from cardiac events or surgeries, as well as those at risk for cardiovascular diseases.

The Chronic Illness Support program at Capitol integrates palliative care, pastoral support, and other services into its specialized clinical programming.

Additionally, Capitol Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is undergoing a multi-million-dollar modernization, which includes significant upgrades to its Harrisburg campus, shared with The Terraces at Capitol Village, a 64-unit personal care community.

Skilled nursing and assisted living community in northwestern Wisconsin changes hands

An 80 bed skilled nursing and assisted living facility in Washburn County, Wisconsin was transferred from a nonprofit organization to a local operator with ties to the Midwest.
