Ensign Group (NASDAQ: ENSG) announced Monday its acquisition of three skilled nursing facilities spanning Kansas and Colorado.
The transactions, including both real estate and operations, were finalized on March 1, 2024. Ensign affiliates acquired Park Post Acute in Parker, Colorado, which has 135 beds, and Oakwood Care and Rehabilitation in Lakewood, Colorado, with 170 beds.
Also among the acquisitions is Atchison Senior Village Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Kansas.
Ensign officials said these acquisitions bolster Ensign’s presence in the healthcare sector, bringing its total operations to 302 facilities, encompassing 27 senior living operations, across 14 states.
Ensign’s CEO, Barry Port, highlighted the strategic significance of these acquisitions, emphasizing the company’s dedication to enhancing the quality of care provided.
“We are excited to add these two operations to our growing Colorado presence,” Port said in a press release, referring to the Colorado facilities. “Both of these operations are a great fit and will add strength to our operational market and clusters in Colorado,” he added.
Port also affirmed Ensign’s commitment to actively pursuing opportunities for property acquisition and leasing within the healthcare industry, targeting entities with both high performance and untapped potential.
