Introducing the 2020 Skilled Nursing News Changemakers Class

The post-acute and long-term care industry has been in a state of change for years now, with new payment models forcing operators to reassess their strategies while also taking on higher-acuity patients.

And that was before a world-historic pandemic hit the nation’s nursing homes with unrelenting force.

Across the country, leaders have stepped up to push their organizations forward, finding ways to elevate the level of care they provide while preparing for the next generation of older residents.

After careful consideration, SNN identified four Changemakers who have put theory to practice, embracing sometimes uncomfortable or unorthodox strategies in the name of evolution and quality care.

Now more than ever, skilled nursing facilities need strong, innovative leadership. Over the next few months, we’ll be rolling out profiles of our Changemakers to shine a light on some of the positive shifts that they had already led — as well as their thoughts on how the industry must improve in the wake of COVID-19.

This week, we’re proud to introduce our first two Changemakers: Dr. Grace Terrell, CEO of Evenuts WholeHealth, and Tim Fields, CEO and co-founder of Ignite Medical Resorts.

Stay tuned this summer for more Changemakers features.
