Skilled Nursing Property Sells for $21M; $80M SNF Breaks Ground in Wisconsin

A New Jersey group purchased the property associated with the Winston-Salem Nursing and Rehabilitation facility for $21 million, the Winston-Salem Journal reported.

The property, located in Winston-Salem, N.C., was purchased by Winston-Salem One Propco LLC, an affiliate of Ultra Care Management LLC of Englewood Cliffs, N.J., the publication reported, citing a filing with the Forsyth County Register of Deeds.

Winston-Salem Max Realty LLC, an affiliate of Health Thitque Group Management of Hickory, was the seller; the previous owner bought it in September 2017 for just below $15 million.

The facility provides skilled nursing, long-term, hospice and palliative and respite care, Winston-Salem Journal reported.

$15M Expansion for NY Nursing Home

St. Peter’s Health Partners, a health care network in Albany, N.Y. affiliated with the Trinity Health system, is planning a $15 million renovation for its 120-bed Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home in Clifton Park, N.Y., the Albany Business Review reported.

The project will add 40 single-person rooms and alter 40 existing rooms into single-person units. The addition is expected to be finished by early next year, while the renovations will start in 2021.

$80M Nursing Facility for Wisconsin Veterans Home

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new 192-bed nursing facility for the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, Urban Milwaukee reported.

Construction costs are expected to reach $80 million, with the federal government paying for 65% of the project. It is expected to open in 2021, and the hall is part of an overall $104 million investment in the campus.

“I’m proud to be investing in King’s future,” Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers said. “We are looking forward to serving Wisconsin’s veterans and their family members for years to come in this modern facility on this incredible campus.”

The facility offers skilled nursing, dental care, mental health care, social services, and occupational, physical and respiratory therapy, among other services.

SR Construction Breaks Ground on New Vegas SNF

SR Construction held a groundbreaking for the 83-bed Sunrise Skilled Nursing Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada Business reported.

The facility is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020. Sunrise Healthcare, LLC is the operating partner, Robin Allen, project manager for SR Construction, said in a press release announcing the project.
