Green House-Model SNF Comes to Las Vegas

The Villas at Centennial Hills, a Green House project, will be built in Las Vegas, with a groundbreaking scheduled for December 4. The facility will include six villas with private bedrooms and bathrooms and a co-living kitchen, dining room, living room, and outdoor spaces. It will be the first of its kind in Nevada, according to a press release.

CEO Michele Goldman, who has operated 25 SNFs in Texas, said construction is expected to be complete in 2019.

USDA Invests in SNFs in Montana and Minnesota

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will invest $501 million in 60 projects to improve health care infrastructure and services in rural communities throughout the country; two of the projects are SNFs, according to a press release from the department.

In one case, the Blackfeet Tribe will receive an $8 million loan to help build a 39-bed, long-term-care facility on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in northwestern Montana, the first phase of a planned 47-bed facility. The new, 27,079-square-foot facility will replace a smaller 47-year-old one, and will serve residents who are currently in facilities more than 60 miles from the community.

The Buffalo Lake Health Care Center, in Buffalo, Lake, Minn., will receive a $1.2 million loan to expand a 49-bed skilled nursing home and 16-unit assisted living center.  The renovations include a new entrance, four private rooms, office space, a therapy center, and a community room.

Evans Senior Investments Arranges Ohio SNF Sale for $7.3M

Evans Senior Investments represented the sellers in the deal involving the Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk, Ohio. The facility was sold for $7.3 million, and ESI represented the seller, an independent owner-operator.

Providence Healthcare Management, based in Pepper Pike, Ohio, was the buyer.
