Virginia SNF Gets Second Life as Assisted Living Facility

The Lovingston Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lovingston, Va., was converted into an assisted living center — The Town Creek Assisted Living Center — according to The Daily Progress.

The conversion was made by the Region Ten Community Services Board, which provides behavioral health and developmental services throughout central Virginia. The facility will serve individuals 18 and older who need help with daily living activities and want to stay as independent as possible.

The center closed as a skilled nursing facility in early 2016.

Nelson County sold the building to Region Ten for $1.7 million last year; renovations cost about $2.3 million, The Daily Progress reported.
