Stirling Properties Acquired $60M Rehab Hospital

Stirling Properties and the Ochsner Clinic Foundation’s joint venture closed on the acquisition of a new Ochsner rehabilitation hospital in Jefferson, La., Canal Street Beat reported.

The five-story, 129,875-square-foot medical building will house three health care components: a skilled nursing facility, long-term acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation. Ochsner will be the primary operator of the new building, along with LCH Group and Select Medical.

The total cost of the project was $59.8 million, according to Canal Street Beat. The facility is slated to open by the second quarter of 2018.

Jacksboro Healthcare Center Announces New Ownership

An affiliate of the Fort Worth, Texas-based Trinity Healthcare, LLC acquired the Jacksboro Healthcare Center in Jacksboro, Texas on New Year’s Day. Trinity specializes in operating and managing SNFs in the Texas market.

Clinton Square Operations, LLC buys Syracuse SNF

Clinton Square Operations, LLC purchased the James Square Health and Rehabilitation Centre, a 440-bed facility in Syracuse, New York, from River Meadows, LLC for $45 million, CNYCentral.com reported.

Ed Farbenblum, who operates nursing homes in Kingston, Dunkirk, and Johnson City, N.Y., is listed as the majority owner, according to CNYCentral.com.

The facility’s name will change to Bishop Rehab and Nursing, and as a result of the sale, Margaret Mary Wagner has been named the new administrator, replacing Stan Wojciechowski.
