Marquis Health Services Plans $5 Million Renovation at Boston SNF

Marquis Health Services, the healthcare affiliate of Tryko Partners, is now operating North End Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Boston, according to a press release.

The first order of business at the newly acquired skilled nursing facility (SNF) is a $5 million renovation slated for early 2018. Under Marquis, the property will be licensed for 100 patients, with 70 beds for long-term residents and 30 beds for short-term rehab.

The addition of North End Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center expands the Tryko/Marquis skilled nursing portfolio in Massachusetts to 10 properties.

SNF, Hospice Center Opening Soon in New Hampshire

A $22 million center for hospice and palliative care patients, along with a new SNF, is just weeks from opening in Lebanon, N.H.

Health care system Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s $22 million Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care is poised to open next month, the Valley News reported. The center will have 12 inpatient beds and offer advanced pain and symptom management services.

Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, a Dartmouth-Hitchcock affiliate, is also opening a $13 million nursing clinic in November.

Alabama Community Touts Recent Redevelopment

A community in Birmingham, Ala., is sporting some new renovations.

The community, Fair Haven, runs on the “Household Model,” which replicates the look and feel of a residential home. Living units have large living rooms with fireplaces, sunrooms, dens. Clients also have access to a full kitchen and a spa.

Fair Haven is a Methodist Homes of Alabama & Northwest Florida retirement community that has 259 nursing beds.
