Skilled Nursing Facility Planned in Central Florida
Orlando Health is planning to open $37 million, 110-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) in Ocoee, Fla.
Work on the Orlando Health Center for Rehabilitation is slated to begin later this year, reports the Orlando Business Journal. The facility will provide short-term rehab services and long-term care.
The SNF could open in late 2018 or early 2019.
Minneapolis Nursing Home Plots Expansion
The Good Samaritan-Ambassador nursing home near Minneapolis is adding new senior apartments.
The non-profit Community Asset Development Group is slated to build and own a planned 31-unit residence, which will reside next to the existing 77-bed nursing home, according to the Star Tribune.
Construction is scheduled to begin later this fall.

Groundbreaking Held for Wisconsin Facility
Work is now underway for a new SNF and senior housing development in the city of Waupun, Wis.
The $22.4 million project will have a 50-bed nursing facility in addition to a 30-bed assisted living community, reports the Daily Citizen.
Construction is expected to wrap up in 2018.
Aldersgate to Open SNF in Charlotte, N.C.
Aldersgate is poised to cut the ribbon on a new 125-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Charlotte, N.C.
The Asbury Health and Rehabilitation Center at Aldersgate, which officially opens Oct. 17, replaces the current Asbury Care Center, Aldersgate’s existing 100-bed facility, according to a press release.
The SNF spans 140,000 square feet and offers skilled nursing and post-acute care rehab. The facility includes six “households,” with 20 residences in each, as well as private bathrooms and social gathering spaces such as living rooms, dining rooms, sun rooms, screened porches, and courtyards.
