Ciena Healthcare Plots SNF in Michigan

Local officials recently gave the go-ahead to a planned skilled nursing facility in Grand Haven Township, Mich.

Ciena Healthcare in 2019 will break ground on the Regency at Grand Haven, a 120-bed SNF, reports the Grand Haven Tribune.

Diversicare Community in Missouri Seeks to Add Rehab Units

A community owned by Diversicare Healthcare Services in St. Joseph, Mo., plans to tweak the kind of care it offers.

Riverside Place intends to convert nine of its assisted living units to rehab suites, according to the News-Press. If all goes according to plan, Diversicare would also relocate the community’s gym to a larger space currently occupied by an auditorium.

New SNF Taking Shape in Iowa

A new SNF is coming together in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Construction is currently ongoing for Methodist Manor, a 93-bed facility, reports the Storm Lake Times. When completed, the SNF will have a “household-style design” and offer views from the northern shore of Storm Lake.

Genesis Opens Rehab Facility in New Jersey

Genesis HealthCare has opened a new PowerBack Rehabilitation location in Piscataway, N.J.

The new PowerBack Rehabilitation has 124 private suites, a large therapy gym, spa services, a movie theater, walking trails, a bistro and on-site chef, according to a press release.

PowerBack Rehabilitation is a brand launched by Genesis in 2012. This is the 11th such facility in the country.
